Script Editor

The Script Editor is the backbone of the scripting system. It is used create and debug new scripts, manage and edit existing scripts and to generally integrate scripts into the application.

The script editor is a development environment for the Basic scripting language

It is similar to script systems used in other applications e.g. Microsoft Office and contains a powerful scripting language to control the application. If the user intents to write new scripts some basic programming skills would be beneficial, since the scripting language itself and all aspects of the editor cannot be discussed here. Please refer to the help system of the script editor.

The script editor consists of three main parts:

  1. Script editor menu and shortcuts - general control of the editor

  2. Script window - this is where you write and edit code.

  3. Script explorer - manage existing scripts.
